The American economy is in a boom. Just in February 2018, the US added 313,000 new jobs. That is the strongest gain since July 2016. Simultaneously, the unemployment rate remained steady.
These data and other important information about the American economy were revealed this March in the latest report of Bureau of Labor Statistics. The document also brings some insights that indicate why now is a great time to live and work in the USA.
American job market is booming
The report issued by the United States Department of Labor brings encouraging data about American job market. For instance, the civilian labor force rose by 806,000 in February. See more data about civilian employment in the following chart.
Also, according to the report, the unemployment rate was 4.1% for the fifth consecutive month, close to its lowest-ever recorded level of 3.9% in 2001. Additionally, the number of long-term unemployed (workers jobless for 27 weeks or more) also kept essentially the same at 1.4 million in February. The long-term unemployed accounted for 20.7% of the unemployed, but, over the year, it was down by 369,000.

A great time to live and work in America
As indicated by the charts, the US economy is doing great. Therefore, America needs workers to keep its impressive economic growth. That is when immigration becomes an opportunity. Because foreign workers represent a fast solution to fulfill labor gaps. And the EB-3 program offers a fast and easy way to immigrate to the USA.
But what is EB-3? The name EB-3 stands for “Employment-Based Immigration: Third Preference”. This program is meant for foreign workers that want to be permanent residents in the USA. To be eligible, the candidate must apply under one of the following subcategories: “skilled worker”, “professional”, or “unskilled worker”.
Currently, there are hundreds of positions available for the unskilled category that need to be filled quickly. Such as caregivers, commercial cleaners, resort housekeeping attendants and long-haul truck drivers.
Since U.S government demands an labor certification (Form ETA-9089) and a permanent full-time job offer for all EB-3 applicants, one of those jobs can be the key to access permanent residency in the USA.
In addition, the EB-3 unskilled worker category has very few requirements. Also, spouses and unmarried children under 21 years old can be included in the EB-3 application. It means that they can become permanent residents of the USA too and profit from its benefits.
